Q: What is Credit Score powered by Savvy Money?

 

A: Credit Score is an Online Banking and Mobile Banking app tool that provides a comprehensive credit score analysis, credit report, monitoring and personalized offers within Online and Mobile Banking. Credit Score is also a great way for members to improve their credit scores and to receive personalized offers, based off their credit scores.

Q: How often does Credit Score refresh credit scores?

 

A: Members can manually refresh their credit scores in Credit Score every 24 hours. If the score is not refreshed manually, then Credit Score will automatically refresh the score every 30 days.

Q: How do I deactivate Credit Score/opt out of using this the credit scoring service?

 

A: To deactivate Credit Score in Online Banking, access Credit Score and hover over your name in the upper-right corner of the page and select Settings, then click on Deactivate Credit Score Account and Confirm. To deactivate Credit Score in the BayPort Mobile Banking App, access Credit Score section and click on the More tab on the top of the section, then click on Profile under the Settings section and click on Deactivate Credit Score Account on the bottom of the page and confirm.

Q: Is Credit Score available to BayPort’s Business Banking platform?

 

A: At this time, Business Banking does not support Credit Score and the service is not available for Business Banking users.

Q: Are the offers in Credit Score preapproved?

 

A: All offers in Credit Score are conditional offers, meaning these offers are subject to change; these offers are based on BayPort’s current rates and the member’s current credit score.

Q: Can you apply online for the offers in Credit Score?

 

A: Yes, all offers have an action button Apply Now that leads to the online form. From there you would just have to select the appropriate option and follow the instructions to apply. This includes the following loans: Mortgages, Auto Loans, Auto Loan Refinances, Flexlines, Boats & RVs, Personal Loans, Credit Cards, and Credit Card Balance Transfers.

Q: How can I dispute my credit report?

 

A: A dispute can be filed in Credit Score for any inaccuracies found on your credit report. In Credit Score, under the Credit Report section, there is an option to Dispute Report. Click on this and either login, or register for an account, in the Trans Union site. Trans Union will communicate the dispute to the other two credit bureaus.

Q: What kind of notifications does Credit Score send to the member?

 

A: Credit Score can send Credit Monitoring emails concerning changes to member’s credit. This includes notifying members of suspicious activity such as a credit freeze, the opening of an account, or a change of address; and the alerts will also display within Credit Score as well.

Members are enrolled to receive the monitoring emails automatically, so if they wish to no longer receive these emails then they can deactivate this service by accessing the Credit Monitoring section of Credit Score and clicking on the No option to Send alerts by email.

Q: Is there education available for members to improve their credit scores, and/or their financial wellbeing?

 

A: Credit Score includes an FAQ under the Resources tab; and this addresses questions such as: what a credit score is, what factors affect my credit score, etc. The members will also have access to the Money Blog in Credit Score, and this includes informational blogs on financial wellness. The Money Blog is also located in the Resources tab.

Q: If a member has a question, where can they submit an inquiry?

 

A: If a member has a question concerning their credit score, or has issues with deactivating their credit score account, then they can direct those inquiries to the Credit Score support team.

Members can send inquiries to Credit Score by clicking on their name in the upper- right corner of the page and going to Settings; once there, they can click Contact Us to select their issue and send their inquiry. Any questions regarding Credit Score offers, or BayPort Credit Union products, should be directed to BayPort Credit Union eCommerce department.

Q: Can errors display within Credit Score powered by SavvyMoney?

 

A: Yes, there may be multiple factors for why a member is presented with an error.

  • A dispute is filed with Trans Union that is pending.
  • The member has no credit score or are just starting to use their credit.
  • They failed the authentication questions.
  • They are in the process of verification with Trans Union
