At BayPort Port Credit Union we value the security of our online accounts. In an effort to help keep our online accounts secure BayPort requires the use of a security access code when logging into any account online from a unregistered device.

As an online user you do have the ability to register your private devices to allow you to enter your account online with your username and password only. How does this work? When you register your online account a small piece of information know as a cookie is used to help identify you to bypass the access code prompt on your next login. When you login the next time if that cookie is still present on your system we can identify you and the system will allow you to go straight into your BayPort account with out requesting and providing an access code.

Please note that there is a potential that even after registering your device that you could still be asked for a security access code on each login or after several days, weeks, month. Why is this?

Browser Settings and Programs

If you are prompted for an access code on each login to Online Banking it is likely that your browser has a setting that is deleting your cookies when the browser is closed. If you adjust your browser settings to avoid deleting the cookies stored within your browser when the browser is closed, you should not be prompted to enter an access code on your next login.
